The Ulster BOCES Environmental Education Coordination service assists participating districts in planning their educational activities by engaging students in various activities at numerous environmental facilities to help reinforce studies taught in the classroom.
The Expo is a county-wide event that helps teachers and administrators become more familiar with and experience the various environmental education programs that can receive aid through the Ulster BOCES Environmental Education Coordination cooperative service. Providers will be on hand to share ideas, showcase materials, and demonstrate possible activities that could be conducted with students in kindergarten through Grade 12.
And the best part? The Expo is FREE! So come on out to the Ulster BOCES Conference Center located on Route 32 North in New Paltz on Tuesday, April 8 from 4-6 PM and learn about all the incredible environmental education experiences that are possible for Ulster County students. And don’t miss out on the 5 PM drawings for door prize items that have been donated by the exhibitors.
For more information on the Expo, contact Maureen Chiasson at 255-1402, extension 358 or E-mail her at mchiasso@mhric.org today.
