Community Relations Team Wins National Honors for Excellence in Communications

The Ulster BOCES Community Relations Team earned an impressive eleven awards in the 2005 National School Public Relations Association Publications and Electronic Media Competition. The Career and Technical Center Student Recruitment Package was singled out for top honors from among 1,124 entries nationwide and will be displayed at the annual NSPRA conference this summer.

Under the leadership of coordinator Holly Brooker, the Community Relations Team is responsible for the public information and communication initiatives of Ulster BOCES and its internal departments, and similarly for component school districts in the region. Since 1999, the team has been recognized more than 100 times with national, state and regional awards for its efforts on their behalf.
