Ulster BOCES Welcomes New Board Member

“Ulster BOCES benefits many students and I hope to work toward keeping high expectations of our students and staff, and seeing that they have high expectations of themselves.”

The Ulster County Board of Cooperative Educational Services welcomes new Board of Education member Robert Curran. Mr. Curran will official begin his service on July 1, representing the Onteora Central School District. He comes to Ulster BOCES having served three years as a member of that district's Board of Education.

A software engineer for IBM in Poughkeepsie for the past 32 years, Curran believes in being involved in the school community.

Curran is looking forward to working with the other Board of Education members. “Hopefully, I can contribute something in terms of expertise and quality,” he says. “I'd like to ensure that we use all the resources available to us to produce the best prepared citizens ever.”
