Program Overview

The Alternative Education

Alternative Education provides at-risk students in Grades 7-12 with a full array of educational opportunities in an alternative environment. Designed for students with different learning styles and rates, the curriculum is approved by the New York State Education Department and aligned with the New York State Learning Standards. Students receive academic credits for coursework completed and may earn their Regents diplomas. More than half of the students, who were once on the path to dropping out of school, not only completed their education but have also gone on to college.
