PERFORMING & VISUAL ARTS
The New Visions Program in Performing & Visual Arts is offered in partnership with Mill Street Loft, a Hudson Valley multi-arts center. The program provides high school seniors with the opportunity to explore the rich range of career options in the performing and visual arts. Students work side-by-side with professional artists, learning first-hand what it takes to build a career in the arts as they explore acting, scenic design, lighting, costuming, production, playwriting, photography, painting, drawing, sculpture, and more. Through studio workshops, classroom instruction, field trips, and on-going internships with local artists and related businesses, students gain valuable skills, experience, and real-world perspective on the arts. Students will work on independent and collaborative projects in a wide array of artistic disciplines and will participate in New Visions drama productions and art exhibits.
