MHAL Coordination

This Co-Ser offers a variety of services associated with the organization and management of high school and junior high athletic programs of school districts in Ulster and Dutchess Counties through the Mid-Hudson Athletic League (MHAL). Certified officials are assigned to all athletic contests at the varsity, junior varsity, and middle school levels. Assignments and appropriate fees are based on contracts with the officials' organization pertinent to each sport. Support is given to all schools in scheduling athletic contests for each activity and in meeting the demands caused by cancellations, schedule changes, and other emergency needs that can occur on a daily basis.

Processing of claims submitted by officials is part of the financial management services of this Co-Ser, along with other financial record-keeping duties associated with school athletic programs for all championship contests.

At additional cost, the MHAL will process officials' fees for contests between districts. Districts are responsible for the officials' actual fees in addition to the fee for check processing. Officials' fees are not aided, but other MHAL costs are.
