Interscholastic Athletics

Ulster BOCES offers a variety of services associated with the organization and management of high school and junior high athletic programs of school districts in Ulster and Dutchess Counties through the Mid-Hudson Athletic League (MHAL).

Certified officials are assigned to all athletic contests at the varsity, junior varsity, and middle school levels. Assignments and appropriate fees are based on contracts with the officials’ organization pertinent to each sport. Support is given to all schools in scheduling athletic contests for each activity and in meeting the demands caused by cancellations, schedule changes, and other emergency needs that can occur on a daily basis.
