Students at the Hudson Valley Pathways Academy recently hosted about 50 local and state officials, as well as business and industry leaders. From registering guests at the welcome table, escorting them to their destination, and offering the opening remarks of the formal presentation, these students were professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and proud. They shined. We are so proud.

A young 15-year-old Ulster BOCES student from Kingston City School District impressed the audience with perfectly delivered remarks. You can read his moving and insightful comments here:

Hello, ladies and gentlemen and thank you all for being here on this momentous occasion. It is both a privilege and an honor to be able to represent my school here today.

But P-TECH isn't simply a school. It is a community, a family and a home, bound by friendship, familiarity and loyalty. I am so immensely proud of those I've embarked on this journey with, and P-TECH has allowed me to be proud of myself.

P-TECH is creating the next generation of doctors, lawyers, teachers, mechanics, politicians and more. P-TECH is creating the next generation of innovators P-TECH is creating our world. And I am so proud to be a part of that. So I thank you all for welcoming my family into your community, and I promise you that P-TECH and its students are going to change the world.
