2nd Annual Educational Technology Expo Rescheduled to Friday, February 1 Due to Snow
What is a SMART Board? What about Kidspiration? If you want to find out, then you definitely don’t want to miss the second annual Ulster BOCES Educational Technology Expo Friday, February 1 from 4-7 PM at the Ulster BOCES Conference Center in New Paltz. The Expo has been rescheduled because of the weather.
The purpose of this educational software and technology tools exposition is to demonstrate Learning Standards-based applications and ways to integrate software and hardware technology into the K-12 curriculum. Technology demonstration, special education, and bilingual education teachers and students from across the county will showcase software applications, websites, and various assistive technologies at the expo.
Teachers, administrators, and technology committee members are all encouraged to come and see colleagues as they share tips and tricks. Learn how to evaluate software in a hands-on demonstration. In addition to viewing the booths, participants are welcome to sit in on mini-presentations and talk with students and educators who are excited about how technology has enhanced their teaching and learning. Topics will include low-cost assistive technology, SMART Boards, palm technology, Inspiration/Kidspiration, editing videos using iMovie, and more.
Registration is free for all BETAC and Ulster County school district members and only $10 for all others. The first 20 registrants will receive a free gift bag. For more information on the conference or to register, please call (845) 255-1402, or register on-line at the Ulster BOCES website.
