Bloodborne Pathogens & Right-to-Know Training

Enrolling in Bloodborne Pathogens

Go to Moodle Login.

  • If you know you have an existing Moodle account, please login with your username and password on the left side of the page.
  • If you are a new user, please create your Moodle account on the right side of the page by clicking the Create New Account button.
    • Enter in the required fields, creating your own username and password to your liking, and when finished click the Create My New Account button at the bottom of the page.
    • An email will be sent to the email address you provide. Before you may continue, please check that email account for an email regarding the Ulster BOCES Moodle: account confirmation. This email will provide a link you will need to click on to verify your new Moodle account. **If you do not see an email in your inbox, please check your Junk Mail folder in case the email was automatically sent there.** Once you verify your account, you may continue in Moodle.
  • Courses Section, click on BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS
  • Click on Ulster BOCES Bloodborne Pathogens 2016-2017
  • You will now be prompted to enter an enrollment key, which is behealthy
    ***The enrollment key is all lower case***
  • Click the Enroll Me in this Course button and you are now enrolled in the course.

To View the Presentation:

Under Topic 1, click on Bloodborne Pathogens link. View the PowerPoint presentation. You may find it at the bottom left of your screen.

When you are finished watching the presentation, click the X in the upper right corner to close the window. You should now be back to the main course page.

To Take the Test:

Under Topic 2, click on the Bloodborne Pathogens Quiz V1 link. Read the directions and click the Attempt Quiz Now button. Select your answers to all questions, and when you are finished, click the Submit All and Finish button at the bottom of your screen. Review your answers if you wish. Click Finish Review button at the bottom of the page. You will be shown your grade. You may re-attempt the quiz, or return to the presentation.

Once you have completed the requirement, click on HOME at the upper left corner.

Now you will need to take the Right-To-Know Training Course.


ENROLLING IN RIGHT-TO-KNOW TRAINING

If already logged into Moodle, proceed with the instructions below. If not, please login (see above for directions).

  • Courses Section, click on RIGHT-TO-KNOW
  • Click on Ulster BOCES Right-To-Know 2016-2017
  • You will now be prompted to enter an enrollment key, which is besafe
    ***The enrollment key is all lower case***
  • Click the Enroll Me in this Course button and you are now enrolled in the course

To View the Presentation:

Under Topic 1, click on Right-To-Know link. View the PowerPoint presentation. You may find it at the bottom left of your screen.

When you are finished watching the presentation, click the X in the upper right corner to close the window. You should now be back to the main course page.

To Take the Test:

Under Topic 2, click on the Right-To-Know Quiz V1 link. Read the directions and click the Attempt Quiz Now button. Select your answers to all questions, and when you are finished, click the Submit All and Finish button at the bottom of your screen. Review your answers if you wish. Click Finish Review button at the bottom of the page. You will be shown your grade. You may re-attempt the quiz, or return to the presentation.

Once you have completed the requirement, click on HOME at the upper left corner, and log out.


Prior Course Approval & Course Completion Fact Sheet

Step 1
Prior approval must be requested and granted through My Learning Plan.com.

  • If the course/workshop is not listed in the catalogs, complete the Course/Workshop Request form displayed on the form menu, or the Graduate Request form for graduate credits.
  • A hard copy of the course/workshop description will need to be provided if an adequate description (topics, dates and times) is not given on a website. Please make sure to include the website on the request form.
  • For graduate credits (UBTO), an approved Course of Study must be on file with the Office of Personnel.
Step 2

Once the course/workshop is completed, the form must be marked for completion in My Learning Plan.com.

  • Click on the course (listed under “My Requests”).
  • In some cases, you may need to complete and submit the Instructional Services Activity Evaluation (listed above “Mark Complete”, under “Actions:”).
  • If the course/workshop is listed in the catalogs, the attendance should be verified in My Leaning Plan.com and you can click on “Mark Complete”.
  • If the course/workshop is not listed in the catalogs, attendance verification and/or a completion certificate must be submitted to the Office of Personnel and the form marked for completion.
Step 3

Once the graduate course is completed, the form must be marked for completion in My Learning Plan.com and an official transcript must be submitted to the Office of Personnel.
