Amanda Stokes, Assistant Superintendent for Administration & Chief Operations Officer for Ulster BOCES

 
Amanda Stokes received her School District Business Leader Certificate from the College of Saint Rose & her School District Leader Certificate from Russell Sage College. She began her career with Ulster BOCES in 2006 and over the years has served in a variety of roles, including Financial/Human Resources Software Specialist, Principal Account Clerk, Deputy Treasurer, and Purchasing Agent. In her current position as Assistant Superintendent for Administration & Chief Operations Officer, she works collaboratively with the leadership team to understand and support the needs and vision of Ulster BOCES. 
Among Ms. Stokes’ main responsibilities is the oversight of the financial and operational aspects of the Ulster BOCES budget and resources. To achieve this objective, she is involved in fiscal planning and reporting on the organization’s budget. She also provides administrative oversight of the operations and maintenance functions at Ulster BOCES, including building improvement and maintenance projects and infrastructure updates to facilities. 
Human resources, procurement, transportation, grants, the school lunch program, risk management, and communications are additional areas for which she provides oversight. 
Ms. Stokes feels that it is a priority to maintain the financial health of Ulster BOCES while nurturing an environment that supports high-quality education.
