Students Explore Educational Opportunities at Ulster BOCES

In March, more than 500 students from throughout Ulster County visited the Ulster BOCES Career & Technical Center in Port Ewen for an up-close look at the hands-on career education available to them as juniors and seniors. Sophomores from each of the school districts in Ulster County were able to visit the classrooms and explore the work labs related to their professional areas of interest. Current students and instructors conducted demonstrations and answered questions. More than two-dozen fields of study in areas ranging from information technology, healthcare, criminal justice, automotive, manufacturing technology, culinary, aviation, and a variety of other trade areas are available to Ulster County students through a cooperative service offered to local school districts.
