Ulster BOCES Students Inducted into National Technical Honor Society

Seventy-three Ulster BOCES students were recognized for academic achievement, commitment, and exemplifying exceptional qualities such as honesty, leadership, responsibility, and good character when they were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) on Thursday, May 9.

The students, who represented the Ellenville, Highland, Kingston, New Paltz, Onteora, Rondout Valley, Saugerties, and Wallkill School Districts, are enrolled in various trade programs at the Career & Technical Center.

The purpose of the National Technical Honor Society is to reward scholastic achievement in occupational and/or technical education; to promote ideals of honesty, service, leadership, and skill development among America’s workforce; and to encourage the practice of high standards of personal and professional conduct and individual responsibility. To qualify for membership into the NTHS, students must maintain an average of 90 percent or above, have excellent attendance, and exhibit good citizenship.
