Ulster BOCES Students Meet with State Senators

On March 5, Ulster BOCES students from the Pre-University/ New Visions Health program and their teachers traveled to Albany to meet with state legislators to advocate on behalf of Alzheimer’s patients. The students discussed how expensive it is to care for Alzheimer's patients and how an improved early detection program could save money for the families and the state, while reducing emotional trauma associated with dealing with the disease. Students met with State Senator Jen Metzger and State Senator George Amedore.
