Ulster County Education Leaders Collaborate for Stronger, More Equitable Schools

Education leaders from across Ulster County are continuing to work together to strengthen schools and expand opportunities for students. By examining regional strengths, resources, gaps, challenges, and trends, superintendents, assistant superintendents, and PPS administrators are engaging in ongoing discussions about ways to collaborate and create more equitable student opportunities across districts.

The most recent discussion, facilitated by Ulster BOCES District Superintendent Dr. Jonah Schenker, was held at the Ulster BOCES Jane Bullowa Conference Center in New Paltz on March 11. It was one in a series of discussions contributing to the development of a shared vision for equitable regionalization efforts. As discussions continue, districts will also be engaging the broader educational community for feedback.

Through this ongoing collaboration, Ulster County schools will continue to grow stronger, ensuring every student has access to the opportunities and support they need to thrive.
