Understanding the fundamentals of coding offers huge benefits to our students, developing and refining skills such as problem-solving, creative thinking, resilience, self-sufficiency, and applying prior knowledge to real problems. Snap!, similar to Scratch, is an engaging way to introduce students to programming basics through block-based code. In this course, you will learn about the Computational Thinking Concept Area of the NYSED Computer Science & Digital Fluency Learning Standards, the basics concepts of programming, and how to create your own program in Snap! No prior programming experience is required for this course.
