How can an intentional focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion support meaningful mathematics learning for all students? Participants will explore this question as they learn about equity-based teaching practices in math, reflect on learning and teaching through these practices in the context of a math activity, and make connections to guidelines for teachers in the NYSED Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education Framework. The webinar will include resources and strategies to help teachers meet the needs of students from varying backgrounds and cultures in learning math.
