Dr. Jevon Hunter is a critically acclaimed literacy educator who studies the ways literacies can be used to mis/dis/empower urban youth broadly, and African American males particularly. He is a Woods Beals Endowed Chair for Urban Education, School of Education; Interim Chair, Social and Psychological Foundations of Education; Associate Professor, Elementary Education, Literacy, and Educational Leadership Department; Executive Editor, Journal of Inquiry and Action in Education.
