The Ulster County School Boards Association is hosting a free, informational workshop on Thursday, March 22, from 7 to 8:30 PM at the Ulster BOCES Jane Bullowa Conference Center, located at 175 Route 32 North, New Paltz. The workshop is designed for area residents who are interested in running for their local school board.

The roles and responsibilities of school board members will be addressed. Agenda topics also include the legal and practical qualifications for serving on a school board, the time commitment required, the types of decisions school trustees face, and the importance of building school district relationships.
