CAREER CLASSES:

Career classes are available based upon consultation with your career advisor. Please call 845.331.5050 for an admissions appointment.

Ulster Adult Career Education Center reserves the right to change curricula, rules, fees, and other requirements, of whatever kind, affecting students. The provisions of this catalog do not constitute a contract, express or implied, between any applicant, student, or faculty member and Ulster BOCES or its Board of Education.

We are not responsible for typographical or scheduling errors. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule classes for any reason. Eligibility for some courses may be limited to students 22 years and older.

Any statistical data referenced may become outdated upon publication.

SCHOOL TRANSFER STATEMENT

Ulster BOCES does not accept student transfers, including credits earned, from other institutions. Transfers within Ulster BOCES programs will be examined on an individual basis.

DISABLED PERSONS

ACCES-VR (Adult Career and Continuing Education Services-Vocational Rehabilitation) may provide tuition assistance for eligible individuals for certain programs. Visit www.acces.nysed.gov/vr for more information.

OUT OF WORK

You may be eligible for subsidized career training through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. Inquire at 845.443.8066 or visit the Ulster County Career Center, 521 Boices Lane, Kingston, NY 12401

VETERANS

Most of our Career-track training programs are VA approved for the training of Veterans.

TARDINESS

Instructors have the right to deny entrance to any student who arrives to class 15 minutes or more after the class has started.

CERTIFICATES

Certificate of Completion will be provided upon request for classes less than 100 hours.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF REGISTRATION

Confirmations are sometime delayed in the mail and may arrive after the start of a course. If we have not called you about your registration, you may assume that you are registered. Always feel free to call us at 845.331.5050 to verify your status.

MAKEUP CLASSES

A makeup class is offered when session is cancelled because of teacher illness, inclement weather, or other unavoidable circumstances. The makeup class will be scheduled the week after the last regular session of the course. If a registrant misses a class, there is no makeup. We regret that we are unable to prorate fees for students who cannot attend all sessions of a course.

LIABILITY

Participation in adult program activities is at your own risk. If you are enrolling in physical fitness, sports, or other physically active courses, check with your physician beforehand to make certain that these courses are appropriate. Ulster BOCES relies on each registrant to seek medical advice as to his/her capacity to participate and will not be responsible for injuries, damages, or losses.

TRANSCRIPT REQUESTS

There will be a $10 charge for transcripts. Please make check payable to Ulster BOCES Treasurer.

MISCELLANEOUS

Children and pets (except service animals) may not attend Adult Program classes unless indicated in the course description.

CELL PHONE USE

As a courtesy to others, please turn off your cell phone or mute its volume during class. If you must take a call, please do so outside the classroom.
