Nursing Assistant

A Nursing Assistant (NA) has successfully completed a 125-hour training program and has passed the New York State Department of Health Certification Exam. NAs are qualified to work in long-term care facilities, hospitals, or home care agencies under the supervision of nursing and medical staff. The duties of a NA include assisting with serving meals, making beds, feeding, bathing and dressing patients, providing skin care, taking temperatures, checking pulse and respiration levels, and helping patients get in and out of bed.
