Adult Career Education Center Releases Summer Catalog

A new catalog outlining the selection of affordable and interesting courses being offered at the Ulster BOCES Adult Career Education Center this summer has been released and is available on the Ulster BOCES website at www.ulsterboces.org/adult-ed.

Ulster BOCES Adult Career Academies at iPark 87 have released their Summer 2026 Course Catalog, featuring a diverse lineup of career training, professional development, personal enrichment, and free adult literacy programs designed to help community members learn new skills, advance their careers, and explore new interests.

The Summer 2026 catalog includes both short-term classes and career-focused programs in high-demand fields. New offerings include a Waxing for New York State Licensing program with introductory summer pricing, an EKG Technician certification course, and information sessions for a new Electrical Apprentice Program beginning in Fall 2026. Additional career pathways include Cosmetology and Natural/Textured Hair programs that prepare students for New York State licensing.

Community Education classes offer affordable opportunities for personal enrichment and hands-on learning. This summer’s lineup includes photography, Cricut crafting, vehicle maintenance, cornhole board building, painting, fitness, tarot, palmistry, and the Japanese art of Kinusaiga fabric mosaics. Special summer pricing is available for Lifestyle & Leisure classes.

In addition to career and community education offerings, Ulster BOCES continues to provide free educational opportunities for adults through its High School Equivalency (GED®), English as a Second Language (ESL), and Adult Literacy programs. Classes are offered at multiple locations throughout Ulster County, with additional options available through distance education.

“Whether someone is looking to launch a new career, earn a credential, improve their English language skills, complete their high school equivalency diploma, or simply pursue a new hobby, our summer offerings provide accessible and affordable opportunities for lifelong learning,” said Coleen Macaluso, Assistant Director of Adult Education.

Adult Education staff are available for phone or in-person registration Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Classes are held at the Ulster BOCES Adult Career Academies at iPark 87, 300 Enterprise Drive, Kingston, unless otherwise noted.
