HVAC Students Attend Valuable Training Seminar

Having industry and business experts communicate with Ulster BOCES Career & Technical Education (CTE) students about how their coursework aligns with real-world job requirements is a regular occurrence.

Ulster BOCES Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) students and other local trade professionals attended the annual WARDFLEX training seminar at the Career & Technical Center in Port Ewen earlier this month. CTE students and students in related professions learned how to properly and safely install the flexible corrugated stainless-steel tubing that is used in the delivery of fuel. The class was taught by John Peterson of Urell, a plumbing and heating manufacturer headquartered in Watertown, MA.

The presentation was followed up with a safety test and the next day the HVAC students completed a hands-on exercise and are now qualified to install WARDFLEX.
