Business management and administration careers encompass planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating business functions essential to efficient and productive business operations. Business management and administration career opportunities are available in every sector of the economy.

Web-Based Entrepreneurship & Business (WEB)

This is a business, entrepreneurship, and computer applications program. The course will introduce students to business concepts such as marketing and advertising, corporate structures, accounting, economics, and business math. Computer applications introduced are the industry-standard versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Students will apply business and computer applications to create a business plan in year one, and participate in the Virtual Enterprise program in year two. During the Virtual Enterprise experience, the students will run a simulated business while assuming key management roles such as president, finance director, marketing manager, and human resource director.

Academics & Certificates:

Academic instruction in NYS Common Core English language arts, mathematics, and science is integrated into the curriculum. Students can earn credits for English, math, and science.

College Credit Opportunities:

Students have the potential to earn 3-6 college credits through an articulation agreement with SUNY Ulster. Additional articulation agreements are always being pursued.
